Tamiya's 1/35 Schwimmwagen - a quick build

I wanted a quick build so took Tamiya's 'old' 1/35 Schwimmwagen from the stash shelf.  I can report that the kit went together very well indeed, the folded down roof being the only minor tricky area, although with a little help Mr. Super Glue, even that was solved.

With this little build I did some minor 'scratch building' using plasti-card and some soda can aluminum;  these areas are noted in the photos below.

 This kit is a little gem and highly recommend to all skill levels.  It can be built into a nice model straight out of the box, or if you're feeling a little more ambitious there's the option to scratch build some components or add after-market extras.
